Almena Band was established in Alexandria, an exceptional city deeply influenced by the sea. The band derived its name, “Almena,” from the Arabic word for port, reflecting their maritime inspiration. Their renowned track, “Alexandria,” stands as a testament to their connection with the city.

Al Mena’s music production is intricately woven with the diverse backgrounds of its artists, resulting in a distinctive sound that encapsulates various cultural influences while maintaining a strong Alexandrian identity in both lyrics and melodies. Although they explore different genres, Al Mena’s unique style is easily recognizable through their fluid vocals and distinctive beatbox effects.

Originally formed with three musicians, Al Mena later expanded to a six-member ensemble, elevating their music production to new heights. This expansion contributed to the band’s growing popularity, cultivating a substantial fan base in Egypt and beyond.
