With its great hall, its exhibition room on the second floor, its two great rooms (70 and 40 seats, respectively) and its 240-seat theater, the French Institute in Egypt in Alexandria hosts numerous and very diversified events that cater to all audiences.

Considered one of the city’s main cultural operators, there you will find a programing of concerts, plays, shows, conferences, exhibitions, and much more!

Among these unmissable events, you certainly already know: Ecrire la méditerranée (Writing the Mediterranean), la Fête de la Musique (Music Day), les Journées du patrimoine alexandrin (Alexandrian Patrimony Days), etc.

The media library also offers several work and conviviality spaces, as well as a large selection of French and Arabic-language books and DVDs.
Lastly, the garden is home to a café-restaurant, “L’apéro Bistrot,” where you can meet up and enjoy the Institute’s outdoor spaces.
