The French Embassy and French Institute in Egypt support cultural cooperation between France and Egypt, with a priority on young creation.
The French Institute in Egypt is the cultural operator for French and Francophone culture in Egypt: through its programming and cooperation initiatives, it participates in numerous projects, exchanges, and collaborations across the entire Egyptian territory. For 2025, France reaffirms its commitment to supporting the emerging Egyptian art scene.
Projects selected within the framework of this unique call will receive support from the SCAC (Cooperation and Cultural Action Service) of the French Embassy in Egypt / French Institute of Egypt. This initiative aims to foster new cultural projects.
In this context, a dedicated fund is available for young operators presenting projects. The aid will not exceed 3000€ and/or 50% of the total project budget.
This unique call for projects, designed to support the emerging Egyptian cultural scene, targets projects taking place from March 2025 to the end of 2025 and presenting features that go beyond a one-off operation or production support alone.
Who can participate?
Registered cultural operators (companies, associations, or organizations).
Which disciplines are concerned?
Performing arts, music, circus and street arts, visual arts, photography, comics, digital creation, gastronomy, fashion, design, architecture, video games, and debates of ideas.
What are the selection criteria?
- The relevance and quality of the project involving the creation and/or presentation of works within the Franco-Egyptian artistic dialogue.
- The co-construction of the project with French artists and/or cultural operators.
- Contribution to the economic strengthening of creative and cultural sectors and professional networking.
- Particular attention will be given to proposals taking place in different Egyptian governorates, while also considering those based in Cairo and Alexandria.

- The proposed project timeline.
- A balanced global budget of projected expenses and revenues, indicating the requested subsidy amount in both EGP (one column) and Euros (another column), signed and stamped by the legal representative of the organization.
- The fund budget specifying how the requested subsidy will be used.
- The duly completed subsidy request form (to download), signed and stamped by the legal representative of the organization.
- A general presentation of the organization and its activities.
- The statutes for Egyptian organizations or SIREN proof for French associations.
- Bank account details (RIB) or an official document stamped by the bank.
Selection Process:
- Call for projects: December 15, 2024, to January 30, 2025
- Announcement of selected projects: Last week of February 2025
