Cairo Climate Talks (CCT) organized at the French Institute in Egypt the Let’s Green Together event on September 2nd, supported by the Embassies of Germany and France in Egypt.
The aim of this event was to raise children’s awareness around climate change issues. Let’s Green Together brought together more than 120 children aged 10 to 15 from Cairo and Alexandria for 22 workshops on climate change, science, and new ecological habits.
During the event, organizations and social enterprises working for change and awareness-raising set up workshops and presented their work, to encourage the younger generations for the next COP27 negotiations. We were able to count on the presence of:

The day ended with a very festive concert by the band Oscarisma, a street orchestra offering many covers, using recycled instruments.
The Cairo Climate Talks are designed and organized in the framework of a cooperation between the German Embassy in Cairo, the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, the German Academic Exchange Office (DAAD) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
