For 2026, France reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Egyptian cultural and artistic scene.
To this end, the Institut français of Egypt is launching a call for projects for a three-month photography residency, from 13 April to 11 July, to take place in Marseille at La Friche la Belle de Mai, and benefiting from mentorship by Ymane Fakhir.
The application requirements are as follows and must be sent to the following address: culture@ifegypte.com by 10 February:
To apply for the open call, the artist must:
– Be of Egyptian nationality and/and work and reside in Egypt;
– Submit a project specifically conceived for Marseille and its metropolitan area;
– Have completed their academic training and/or be able to demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional experience in the artistic field;
– Have already developed one or more creative projects;
– Hold a passport valid for at least three months after the end of the residency;
– Speak French and/or English.
