The Shobhi Opera Studio (SOS) is delighted to announce its production of Goerges Bizet’s pocket opera Carmen.

Carmen” is a famous opera in four acts composed by Georges Bizet. The work is distinguished by its vibrant and passionate music, embodying themes of passion, jealousy, freedom and tragic destiny. Carmen is a gypsy woman working in a tobacco factory in Seville, Spain. Her beauty and independence attract the attention of many men, including the soldier Don José. He abandons his unit to be with Carmen, but she soon tires of him and falls in love with the toreador Escamillo.
