At once tongue-in-cheek and deeply personal, the piece unpacks the lingering weight of para-Orientalist expectations, the pressures of cultural translation, and the quiet toll of navigating artistic survival under capitalism. What begins as an attempt to define, explain, or justify gradually gives way to interruption—as protest, as intimacy, as a form of creative resistance.
