The French Institute of Egypt in Alexandria welcomes the artist Léon Dubois for a research residency as part of his project “A la recherche du Petit Prince”. For a month, the artist is interested in the passage of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Egypt, leads workshops with Alexandrian students and will propose at the end of his research a photographic exhibition in the great hall of the institute. . This work is part of a global photographic project initiated by the artist on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Little Prince. By crossing the archive, photographic creation and the collection of memories, he seeks to define the visual and conceptual contours of a contemporary Little Prince. The exhibition is accompanied by a sound performance with the musician Ahmed Saleh which will be presented during the opening on March 13, 2023.
