We return this week under the theme “So that the Birds Return” featuring a documentary feature film for the second time in this program.
“And One Day, There Was Evening and There Was Morning” by director Yohanna Nagii, is making its Cairo premiere! The director takes us on an experimental artistic journey back to his childhood memories, using artificial intelligence techniques to create an unconventional visual narrative.

The film blends reality with memory, exploring the director’s personal journey and his perception of the world around him, relying on a non-traditional storytelling style that pushes the boundaries of documentary cinema.
The film won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Ismailia International Film Festival and was the only Egyptian film in the competition.
