PRESENTING… Lucie Králová’s LOST HOLIDAY (2007).

This weird & wonderful detective documentary follows the trail of 22 rolls of undeveloped film discovered in a discarded suitcase in Sweden.

Once developed, the photographs reveal 7 Asian men posing in various locations throughout Europe. Determined to get to the heart of the mystery behind these photographs, the filmmakers go to bizarre and creative lengths, encountering a host of colorful characters in the process.

Based in Prague, Králová is known for consistently challenging the limits of the documentary genre, as evidenced in her 2022 documentary opera, Kapr Code. Lost Holiday was awarded the Crystal Globe for Best Feature Doc at Karlovy Vary IFF 2007.

This screening is a collaboration with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo and the Czech Centres network
