For the start of 2024, the French Institute in Egypt highlights the emerging Egyptian art scene.

⚡️On the 21st of January, unveiling our 2024 cultural season, don’t miss Habashtakanat #2 by Lama Ahmed!

📸Throughout a delicate journey, the exhibition features Habashtakanat Magazine editions, a photography-based publication that aims to document, initiate dialogue on and truthfully represent the city of Cairo’s unique visual culture.

A personal, sensitive and lively exhibition offering a unique perspective on Cairo and its daily life.

Founder of @habashtakanatmag, Lama Ahmed describes herself as “floating somewhere between a designer, an artist, and a writer in development”.
