International Women’s Day roundtable discussion on “Women and Work: Inspiring Egyptian Women’s Careers”

As part of International Women’s Day, the French Institute of Egypt in Alexandria is organizing a roundtable on the theme of “Women and Work: Inspiring Egyptian Women’s Careers.” This discussion will focus on 5 inspiring women who have made a career in professional fields where women are underrepresented.
Five inspiring women will speak during this exchange:
• Heba Rashed, founder and director of the Mersal Foundation 2021.
• Maha Abdel Nasser, member of Parliament and vice-president of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party.
• Malak Al-Ashiri, CEO of Counsel Masters, director of management and operations for Ahl Masr Walk, Phase One, of the West Bank project in the Manial region, and the North Square Mall project in the New Alamein region.
• Sally Samir, an Egyptian illustrator of children’s books. She won the 2022 State Encouragement Award in the “children’s books” category for the book “Shapes Fill My House.”
• Marie Louis Bishara, fashion designer, Vice President and CEO of Bishara Group.
A question-and-answer session with the public will conclude this roundtable, moderated by Mohammed Al-Bitar, a journalist and host on the Egyptian channel 2.
