Pursue your research project in France with the 2026 Doctoral Fellowships Program!
Are you an Egyptian doctoral student looking to join a French research center for a 6 to 18 -month research stay? The French Embassy and the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education and Scientific Research invite you to apply for the co-funded 2026 Doctoral Fellowships Program.
👉 3 scholarship formats are available:
✔ 18 months: three six-month research stays in France, for doctoral students enrolled in joint thesis programmes
✔ 12 months: two six-month research stays in France, for doctoral students enrolled in co-supervision programmes
✔ Six months: one six-month research stay in France
👉 The scholarship covers:
✔ A stipend of at least €1700 per month
✔ Round-trip airfare
✔ Insurance and living expenses
📢 Key criteria:
✔ Be an Egyptian doctoral student in an Egyptian public university
✔Be a teaching assistant or research assistant in an Egyptian public university
✔ Be under 35 years old
📅 Application deadline: 26 February 2026
👉 Stays in France must begin on 1 October 2026
