The French Institute in Egypt offers you a wide range of certificates (diplomas and tests) offered by France Éducation international (FEI) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Paris Île-de-France (CCI Paris IdF).

Our certificates offering is intended for all ages and levels in order to meet the candidates’ needs as best as possible, whether it is a personal or professional goal (access to French universities, emigrating to Canada, the acquisition of French nationality…)

DELF – Diplôme d’études en langue française
(Diploma in French Language Studies)

 

Assesses the four core language skills, from early-stage learning to the most advanced levels.

Levels assessed: 

  • DELF prim : A1.1, A1 et A2
  • DELF junior and DELF tout public: from A1 to B2

DALF – Diplôme approfondi de langue française
(Diploma in Advanced French Language)

For studying or working adults.

Levels assessed: 

  • C1
  • C2

TCF – Test de connaissance du français
(French Knowledge Test)

Validates the candidate’s skills in French for immigration cases and for academic or professional purposes.

TEF Canada – Test d’évaluation de français
(French Evaluation Test)

Gauges the candidate’s level of knowledge and skills in French for immigration cases to Canada.

Which certificate to choose?

Goal

To officially validate the French learning path.
To encourage international mobility for students and professionals.

Audience

Any person with a mobility project.

Students who wish to enroll in a university in France or one of the francophone programs in Egypt. (DELF B2).

People who wish to apply for a position in a French company.

Diploma/Certificate

Lifetime diploma for a CECRL level to be obtained by scoring an average of 50/100 or more.

Skills assessed
(mandatory and optional)

4 mandatory skills:

Oral Comprehension and Speaking,
Reading Comprehension and Writing.

Goal

To provide a linguistic picture of their current level of knowledge and skills in French to people who plan on immigrating to Canada.

Audience

People who filed for emigration to Canada or the Quebec province in Canada.

Diploma/Certificate

Certificate valid for 2 years for a CECRL level, regardless of the results.
It is a progressive test in terms of the difficulty.

(mandatory and optional)

For Canada: 4 skills (Oral Comprehension and Speaking, Reading Comprehension and Writing)

For Quebec: two oral skills (Oral Comprehension and Speaking)

Goal

To evaluate French skills in a fast and reliable way for emigration, professional or personal purposes.

Audience

TCF TP: Students with prior admission applications to French universities.

Any person who wished to pursue their Master’s in France.

TCF Canada: People who wish to settle in Canada permanently (outside the Quebec province).

TCF Quebec: people who filed for emigration to Quebec.

Diploma/Certificate

Certificate valid for 2 years for a CECRL level, regardless of the results.
It is a progressive test in terms of the difficulty.

Skills assessed
(mandatory and optional)

TCF TP: 3 mandatory skills: Oral Comprehension, Language Structure, Reading Comprehension.
Only one optional skill: Writing.

TCF Canada: 4 mandatory skills (Oral Comprehension, Speaking, Reading Comprehension, Writing).

TCF Quebec:

3 options:

  1. Both mandatory skills (Oral Comprehension and Speaking).
  2. Both mandatory skills as well as both optional skills (Reading Comprehension and Writing).
  3. One skill only
