Mazra’a Network for Arts and Culture Présents: Kazdoura at the French Institute in Mounira!

Following our last screening for April under our theme “So That the Birds Return” , Kazdoura’s vibrant fusion of Arabic Maqams, middle eastern groovy rhythms and soulful jazz will offer a fresh sonic journey through memory, identity, and artistic experimentation.

Founded by Syrian singer Leen Hamo and Lebanese jazz musician John Abou Chacra, and born from resilience, cultural connection and shared passion for Arabic music, this project with its vibrant energy, nostalgia and innovative approach, takes audiences on a journey through the rich musical traditions of the Middle East and North Africa, reimagined with a modern twist, blended with global influences such as Soul, funk and dream pop.

The musical performance starts right after the film screening.
