ZIYARA (2021) by Simone Bitton

As part of our upcoming event Rues de la Paix, dedicated to interfaith dialogue and solidarity, we are presenting the film Ziyara, which embodies this spirit of sharing. In Morocco, Ziyara (visiting saints) is a popular practice shared by both Jews and Muslims. This film, designed as a road movie through the director’s homeland, is a cinematic pilgrimage where she meets the Muslim guardians of her Jewish memory.
