L’espace-temps d\u00e9form\u00e9\u00a0: une histoire des mirages gravitationnels
\n<\/strong>
\nL’effet de lentille gravitationnelle est l’un des rares ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes relativistes visibles (presque) \u00e0 l’\u0153il nu. Par exemple, la d\u00e9formation de l’espace-temps produite par des objets situ\u00e9s le long de la ligne de vis\u00e9e peut g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des images multiples des objets d’arri\u00e8re-plan. Malgr\u00e9 une certaine complexit\u00e9, cette optique gravitationnelle est devenue le v\u00e9ritable couteau suisse de l’astrophysique, permettant de d\u00e9tecter des plan\u00e8tes, de peser des amas de galaxies ou de d\u00e9couvrir des galaxies et des \u00e9toiles tr\u00e8s lointaines, entre autres.
