Welcome to the French Institute in Egypt in Heliopolis

The Heliopolis branch of the French Institute in Egypt: two premises to spread the French language and cultures in Heliopolis.

In 1977, the French Institute in Egypt (IFE) (previously the French Center for Culture and Cooperation – CFCC) inaugurated new premises in Heliopolis, the historic and widely appreciated Cairene suburbs where francophony holds a special place.

The Heliopolis branch of the IFE witnessed an increase of its client-base over time, and in 2012, in order to better respond to the increasing demand, an annex was opened on 5 Mostafa El Khéchen street in Ard El Golf.

Space and activities

The Heliopolis branch of the French Institute in Egypt is a genuine place for learning and discussions. Situated at 5 Chafik El Dib street, Ard El Golf, the IFE comprises eighteen classes over the two premises, a library built on a space of 143 m2 on the ground floor, and a nice cafeteria. From dialogues to discussions, meetings and debates, there’s something for everyone. The roof terrace provides a beautiful view of the big garden of the neighborhood.
