Cycle of events over two days, an act of welcome and solidarity with Sudanese artists
Monday 10 July from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm and Tuesday 11 July from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm
In response to the current situation in Sudan and the large number of displaced people, particularly artists, who are fleeing to Egypt. The Institut Français d’Egypte is opening its doors and welcoming artists living in Cairo, offering them the physical and moral space to express themselves and share their experience. The “Ici le Soudan” event is above all an act of welcome and kindness towards all those who have had to leave their country and wish to (re)connect with their Egyptian counterparts.
The two-day event, taking place on 10 and 11 July, will feature an exhibition of Sudanese visual art, round-table discussions, short film screenings, book discussions and a major concert featuring more than 25 artists.
