FFLA training

French as a Foreign Language Academy (FFLA)

The FFL Academy is a yearly training aimed at professors who wish to teach French as a foreign language. It seeks to provide core competencies for teaching FFL.

During this training, participants follow different modules that enable them to acquire specific didactic competencies and to improve their linguistic level and knowledge of French culture.

The FFL Academy is also an opportunity for these participants to follow a practical training by experienced teachers.

An educational team, comprising teaching professionals and experts, has contributed to designing relevant content for every module and takes charge of supervising all participants throughout their learning.

Prerequisite:

B2+/C1 level

Training venue:

IFE at Heliopolis

Schedule:

Thursday evenings from 4 PM to 8 PM (4 hours per week).
Attendance is mandatory.

Training content:

•  28 hours of theoretical training split into 4 modules:

Module 1 :
FFL didactics (52 hrs)

Module 2 :
Assessment/Remediation (20 hrs)

Module 3 :
General knowledge and DALF preparation (48 hrs)

Module 4 :
Andragogy (adult education) and practical case studies (14 hrs)

• 10 hours of practice-based internship + 10 hours of tutoring
